The expense tracking, budget management, job costing, and financial reporting features of the Service are organizational tools designed to help you manage project finances. They are not a substitute for professional accounting software, certified public accountant services, or financial advisory services.
You should not rely solely on the Service for tax preparation, tax filings, certified financial statements, or regulatory compliance. We recommend using the Service in conjunction with professional accounting software such as QuickBooks and consulting with a qualified accountant or tax professional.
The residential project template, task schedules, critical path calculations, and other construction management features of the Service are general tools based on common residential construction practices. They do not account for local building codes, site-specific conditions, engineering requirements, or the specific needs of any individual project.
All construction decisions — including scheduling, sequencing, material selection, code compliance, structural design, and safety — should be made by qualified construction professionals, licensed engineers, and architects as appropriate. BuildersBFF is not responsible for any construction outcomes, delays, cost overruns, code violations, or safety incidents that may result from reliance on the Service.
The subcontractor insurance tracking feature allows you to record and monitor insurance policy information. BuildersBFF does not verify the accuracy, validity, authenticity, or adequacy of any insurance information entered into the Service. We do not confirm whether insurance policies are active, whether coverage amounts are sufficient, or whether the insurance meets the requirements of your contracts or applicable law.
You are solely responsible for independently verifying all subcontractor insurance coverage by obtaining certificates of insurance directly from carriers or agents and confirming policy status before allowing work to proceed.
The Service provides on-screen signature capture functionality for lien waivers, change orders, and other documents. While the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN Act) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) generally provide that electronic signatures carry the same legal weight as handwritten signatures, specific requirements and exceptions vary by state and document type.
We make no representations or guarantees regarding the legal enforceability of signatures captured through the Service in any particular jurisdiction or for any particular purpose. BuildersBFF stores data locally in your web browser. This data can be lost due to clearing browser data, browser updates, device failure, switching devices or browsers, operating system updates, or other causes beyond our control.
We are not responsible for any data loss. You are solely responsible for maintaining adequate backups of your data using the Backup & Restore feature provided in the Service. We strongly recommend backing up your data at least weekly and storing backup files in a secure location separate from your primary device.
Loss of data due to inadequate backup practices is not grounds for a refund, credit, or claim against BuildersBFF.
While we strive to ensure that the Service functions correctly and that calculations (including critical path analysis, cost summaries, schedule computations, and budget tracking) are accurate, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information, calculation, or output generated by the Service.
You are responsible for independently verifying all critical calculations, schedules, financial summaries, and reports before making business decisions based on them.
