BuildersBFF is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The lien waiver templates, change order forms, and other document templates included in the Service are provided for convenience and general reference only. They are not guaranteed to comply with the specific legal requirements of any particular state, county, municipality, or jurisdiction.
Lien waiver laws, mechanics lien statutes, electronic signature requirements, and construction contract regulations vary significantly by jurisdiction. It is your sole responsibility to consult with a qualified attorney licensed in your jurisdiction to ensure that any documents generated through the Service are legally sufficient and enforceable for your specific circumstances.
Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and BuildersBFF.
The expense tracking, budget management, job costing, and financial reporting features of the Service are organizational tools designed to help you manage project finances. They are not a substitute for professional accounting software, certified public accountant services, or financial advisory services.
You should not rely solely on the Service for tax preparation, tax filings, certified financial statements, or regulatory compliance. We recommend using the Service in conjunction with professional accounting software such as QuickBooks and consulting with a qualified accountant or tax professional.
The residential project template, task schedules, critical path calculations, and other construction management features of the Service are general tools based on common residential construction practices. They do not account for local building codes, site-specific conditions, engineering requirements, or the specific needs of any individual project.
All construction decisions — including scheduling, sequencing, material selection, code compliance, structural design, and safety — should be made by qualified construction professionals, licensed engineers, and architects as appropriate. BuildersBFF is not responsible for any construction outcomes, delays, cost overruns, code violations, or safety incidents that may result from reliance on the Service.
The subcontractor insurance tracking feature allows you to record and monitor insurance policy information. BuildersBFF does not verify the accuracy, validity, authenticity, or adequacy of any insurance information entered into the Service. We do not confirm whether insurance policies are active, whether coverage amounts are sufficient, or whether the insurance meets the requirements of your contracts or applicable law.
You are solely responsible for independently verifying all subcontractor insurance coverage by obtaining certificates of insurance directly from carriers or agents and confirming policy status before allowing work to proceed.
The Service provides signature capture and electronic signature functionality for lien waivers, change orders, and other documents. While the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN Act) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) generally provide that electronic signatures carry the same legal weight as handwritten signatures, specific requirements and exceptions vary by state and document type.
We make no representations or guarantees regarding the legal enforceability of signatures captured through the Service in any particular jurisdiction or for any particular purpose. If you have concerns about the legal validity of electronic signatures for your specific use case, consult with a qualified attorney.
The Service includes an AI Advisor that can answer questions about your projects and, at your instruction, take actions within your account.
AI-generated output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or simply wrong. It may misread your data, miscalculate, or produce confident-sounding answers that are not correct. The AI Advisor does not provide legal, financial, accounting, engineering, or construction advice.
You are responsible for independently verifying any AI-generated output before relying on it, and for reviewing and confirming any action the AI Advisor proposes to take in your account. Do not use AI output as the sole basis for any legal, financial, scheduling, safety, or business decision.
The Service may send email and text message notifications to you and — at your direction — to your subcontractors, clients, and other contacts.
Delivery is not guaranteed. Messages may be delayed, filtered, blocked by carriers or email providers, or fail to deliver for reasons outside our control. Recipients may opt out at any time, after which they will not receive further messages. You should not rely on the Service as your only means of communicating time-sensitive information such as schedule changes, and you remain responsible for confirming that critical information actually reached its recipient.
You are responsible for obtaining any consent required by law before contacting third parties through the Service. See our Terms of Service.
Your project data is stored on cloud servers that we control. We maintain reasonable safeguards and perform regular backups of the production database.
However, no system is completely secure or immune to failure. We do not guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted, or become temporarily unavailable, whether due to hardware failure, software defect, provider outage, security incident, or other causes.
The Service includes an Export feature that allows you to download a complete copy of your data. We recommend exporting and retaining your own copies of critical records — particularly financial records, signed documents, and daily logs that serve as your project record. Our responsibility for any loss of data is subject to the limitations set out in our Terms of Service.
While we strive to ensure that the Service functions correctly and that calculations (including critical path analysis, cost summaries, schedule computations, and budget tracking) are accurate, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information, calculation, or output generated by the Service.
You are responsible for independently verifying all critical calculations, schedules, financial summaries, and reports before making business decisions based on them.
The Service relies on and may link to third-party services, including cloud hosting, database, AI, electronic signature, and messaging providers. We do not control these providers and are not responsible for their outages, errors, or changes to their services. Your use of any separate third-party service is governed by its own terms and policies.

AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES RESULTING FROM DATA LOSS, RELIANCE ON SERVICE OUTPUTS OR AI-GENERATED OUTPUT, LEGAL INSUFFICIENCY OF GENERATED DOCUMENTS, UNDELIVERED NOTIFICATIONS, CONSTRUCTION DELAYS, COST OVERRUNS, LIEN CLAIMS, INSURANCE LAPSES, OR ANY OTHER LOSSES RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS SUBJECT TO THE CAP SET OUT IN OUR TERMS OF SERVICE.
